We hope that this very mild winter finds you well.  Keep in mind that less snow and more warm days means a lot more good times for backyard grilling, and what better way to enjoy your favorite grilled foods than with a bottle of our Seven Hawks wines ?

Our new wines are all doing well, especially our La Crescent and St. Croix wines.  We’ve also recently bottled a new tank of Ardella’s Rose, definitely our best vintage of that light, versatile wine.

Also, we recently bottled our Hunters Blend and Smiling Moon wines into 375 ml bottles; those little “splits” contain 2 generous glassfuls of wine, just right for a dinner for two.

Fountain City is a great winter destination.  The river channel stays open, attracting eagles in bunches.  Sunsets over the Minnesota hills are dramatic, and nights are perfect for friends and good suppers and wines.

Be sure and check out the Frozen River Film Festival January 26 – 29 in Winona while around town.

We’re open Friday, Saturday and Sunday throughout the winter, with free wine tastings every day we’re open.

We hope you’re all enjoying this warm, dry, early autumn weather.  Thanks to all of our friends who stop by our Fountain City tasting room while traveling the Great River Road to enjoy our gorgeous fall colors.   And thanks to all of our guests who have graced us with visits to our Hawks View Cottages, Lodges and Suites.  We hope you’ll all find time to return, and often.

In our vineyards a mile north of Fountain City, we’ve harvested a bumper crop of grapes, all of which are fermenting into new wines, which we hope you’ll look forward to sharing with us in the months ahead.

Stop by our Fountain City tasting room whenever you can.  We provide free tastings seven days a week, and have special sales every day for bargain shoppers.  It’s not too early to stock up for holiday gatherings, and our wines make memorable gifts for the holidays or for any special occasion.

Please note that Seven Hawks Vineyards are located in the exact mid-point of the Great River Road Wine Trail, and we’ll be celebrating Fall Harvest wines and foods over the weekend of November 12-13.

Each of our Wine Trail member wineries will be presenting special foods and free tastings, so contact the Trail, or us, for more info.
